If a turnaround is not possible for your business, we accept appointments on a variety of different insolvency assignments. While the majority of our work in this area is in insolvent liquidations, we also accept appointments as Receivers & Managers and Voluntary Administrators. 


We have experience in liquidating a broad range of companies in a number of different industries and the skills and knowledge to assist in even the most complex situations. As liquidators we will take positive steps to achieve the best outcome for all creditors. We accept company liquidation appointments initiated by the directors, when they find that their company is insolvent, and those referred to us by professionals acting for creditors who find themselves going through the process to have their debtors placed into Liquidation by the Court.


We have acted as Receivers and Managers on behalf of General and Specific Securities Holders whose debtors are in default. We place considerable importance in understanding and pursuing the objectives of our appointers. Our team is proactive in managing the assignment, always taking a commercial approach to maximising the return to the secured creditor. We have extensive experience in operating many businesses and expert knowledge in a number of industries. Specifically, we have experience in managing dairy farm receiverships.

Receivership has a history of producing positive results – a Receiver is empowered to carry on the business and will often achieve a better price by selling the business as a going concern – at the same time saving jobs.

Voluntary Administration

As Administrators or Deed Administrators, we will work with your company to maximise the opportunity for you and your creditors to move forward. The experience of our specialised team allows us to suggest and work through the best outcome for all concerned, whether that is through a Deed of Company Arrangement, or the eventual liquidation of the company.


We have Christchurch based offices, but have contacts all over the South Island.  We have experience in being appointed as agents for Liquidators and Receivers both elsewhere in New Zealand and in Australia, to carry out work required in the South Island. We are also available to carry out site visits for other Liquidators and Receivers.
