“Nexia New Zealand has always communicated well with what’s going on in the marketplace; what we should be cautious of, what we should look out for, and potentially where we could go. It’s invaluable when you have a company you work with that you can totally trust..”
Nexia New Zealand have been iFLY Indoor Skydiving NZ’s accounting partner from initial business planning, through construction, launch, growth, international operations and company sale. More recently they have made a seemingly helpless covid environment manageable, giving our highly impacted tourism business a plan to navigate uncertainty and disruption.
iFLY faced an 80% decline in revenue when NZ’s international borders closed in March 2020. Nexia were absolutely critical through challenging periods; assisting with tax and financial advice, business planning and scenarios, through to funding support. Working closely with Nexia enabled confidence to act decisively, reinvent our business, manage risk, and front foot a strategy to navigate a complex situation. iFLY was able to adapt, find new markets, retain all employees, and become a multi-award winning business in 2021. Of all our business partnerships I have peace of mind knowing we’re in good hands and when the chips are down Nexia will always have our back!
When James Kendall was looking to purchase ITM Matakana he enlisted the help of Nexia New Zealand. “I believed I could do it, but at the time when the economy was at an all-time low I needed someone I could trust to help me.” Kendall says Nexia’s pragmatic approach and honest conversation has made them trusted advisors ever since. “They ask the right questions – not always the ones I want to hear but they do challenge my thinking. Nexia provided advice throughout the acquisition journey, from assessing the viability of the venture to assisting with due diligence and obtaining the necessary funding from the bank.”
“Moving to Nexia New Zealand was the best business decision we have made in a long time. The service and assistance provided by the firm have far exceeded our expectations. They have helped us implement more robust systems which has significantly helped with the growth of our business. I would certainly recommend them to anyone looking to move their business in a positive direction.”
“The Nexia New Zealand name had come up a number of times, so we went and checked them out and we liked what we saw. Nexia wants things to deliver benefit to the business and if they can’t see a compelling reason why something should be done, then they won’t do it. For us, that’s probably the most valuable thing about working with them.
“You become accustomed to running a company at a certain size, and when it triples, what used to be adequate is no longer enough. Nexia has been really good at putting the right systems in place for us. In terms of our financial advice from Nexia, I feel like we got a hole in one.”
“Nexia has been our financial advisory partner and accountants for over five years. Their service and advice is excellent, but what we like best is their friendly and welcoming approach where stupid questions are never discouraged! Thanks Amanda and the team.”
Welcome to Nexia New Zealand, where accounting meets innovation! We’re not your average firm; we’re a dynamic team committed to excellence. With global connections through Nexia International, we’re shaping the future of professional services. Join us in our journey of growth and success! Your next role We are currently looking for a BAS graduate to join our growing team in Auckland. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for someone to begin their journey in a CA environment. A financial health check offers an independent assessment of your financial stability and management controls. It shows you how you’re performing against financial benchmarks and assesses your risk management profile.
Running a Financial Health Check will help you to assess your business’:
Extended DISC® is an excellent tool for recruitment, career progression and development. Plus you have the option to get into greater detail of a person’s natural behaviour in management, leadership roles, customer service and more.
The Extended DISC® Personal Analysis is a self-assessment that identifies the strengths and development areas of an individual. What makes Personal Analysis different from other assessments is that it is able to measure at a deeper unconscious level to exclude the impact of the environment.
In practice, this means that the results show who the individual actually is and not what the person thinks he/she needs to be in the existing environment. As a result, the report identifies the true strengths and development areas to allow for true performance improvement.
Extended DISC® Personal Analysis is very easy to use. The questionnaire takes only 10 minutes to complete. It is available online (a hard copy option is also available) in 40 languages to meet the needs of today’s diverse workforce.
Some of the most common applications for Personal Analysis in organisations worldwide are:
