 Your next role 

We’re looking for more than a technically strong BAS Senior Accountant. We’re looking for someone who sees opportunities rather than problems. Someone who takes ownership and is willing to step in and help wherever needed. Someone who is always looking for a better way, embraces technology, enjoys supporting others, and takes pride in delivering exceptional outcomes for clients and colleagues alike. 

You’ll have the opportunity to work closely with Partners and Directors, lead client engagements, and help coach junior team members, all while working across a broad range of industries and advisory challenges. 

 What you’ll be doing: 

• Manage a diverse portfolio of clients, building and maintaining trusted relationships 
• Prepare annual financial statements 
• Provide tax planning and complete GST, FBT, and income tax returns 
• Deliver monthly and quarterly management reporting 
• Prepare budgets, cashflows, and financial projections 
• Contribute to team development through mentoring of intermediate staff 
• Collaborate with Directors and Partners on advisory and special project work 

 What you’ll bring to the team: 

• CA qualified with 3+ years’ experience in a NZ CA Business Advisory environment 
• Exposure to second-tier or mid-sized firms is preferred 
• Confident managing client relationships independently 
• A strong work ethic and commitment to delivering exceptional client outcomes 
• A continuous improvement mindset and genuine desire to learn and grow 
• A proactive and solutions-focused approach with a drive to add value 
• Tech-savvy and comfortable navigating cloud-based accounting tools, enthusiastic about leveraging technology to improve efficiency 
• High attention to detail and pride in producing quality work 
• A collaborative attitude and readiness to support colleagues wherever needed 
• Strong technical knowledge across NZ tax, financial reporting, and IFRS (preferred) 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
