Jono Boyce

Promoted to Partner in 2023, Jono works in the Tax and Business Advisory divisions at Nexia New Zealand

Jono began his career as a tax consultant with a Big 4 accounting firm, where he specialised in providing tax advisory and compliance services for high net worth individuals and large enterprises (both New Zealand and offshore), as well as providing advice on tax residency, employment and transactional tax matters.

Having spent several years with milk products manufacturer, Synlait Milk, he gained invaluable experience in strategy and innovation, leading R&D and capital programs from concept through to business case, development and launch.

Jono’s commercial experience will assist our clients to effectively manage the compliance side of their R&D and capital projects, including financing, regulatory requirements and R&D tax credit claims.

Outside of work, Jono enjoys spending time with his wife Sarah and young family, and he makes the most of Canterbury’s amazing great outdoors year round (skiing, cycling, camping and swimming).
