From 1 April 2022, DK Alexander Chartered Accountants will join with the Christchurch office of Nexia New Zealand. Team members will relocate to the Victoria Street offices, and founder Kipp Alexander will initially work as a consultant. The merger comes as Kipp moves towards retiring after a longstanding and reputable career as a Chartered Accountant.
The DK Alexander team is excited to be joining Nexia, and will continue to provide clients with the highest standards of advisory and accounting services. Further, Kipp’s clients will now benefit from Nexia’s scale, global network and broad service offering, which includes specialist audit, tax, corporate advisory and insolvency teams.
Following the merger, Nexia New Zealand will have approximately 90 staff based in Christchurch, led by 10 partners and six associates. Nexia has one of the largest Business Advisory practices in the South Island, in addition to Auckland offices in Albany and Newmarket. The global network of Nexia firms, make Nexia International the eighth largest group of accounting and consulting firms in the world.
“Having considered various options, it became evident that our clients would benefit from a move to Nexia New Zealand where their needs would be well served. Both firms have closely aligned values and are driven to deliver an excellent standard of client service,” said Kipp Alexander.
Further to this, Nexia Christchurch CEO, Amy Murdoch, commented: “We’re excited to welcome Kipp’s clients and team, and we’re looking forward to developing the strong relationships that Kipp has maintained over many years.”
