Every year member offices across the Nexia International network take part in the celebration of Nexia Week.

The week is all about celebrating who Nexia is, with the three key values of:

  • Enduring relationships: quality of personal relationships forged between members and members with their clients, which ensures greater trust, responsiveness, and more effective delivery.
  • Business-minded: characterised by people who have an entrepreneurial spirit and who can relate closely to the SME and owner- managed businesses they serve.
  • Being there for clients (globally connected): focused on supporting local companies as they grow and expand into new markets.

Last year, over 17,000 individuals across member firms around the world participated in Nexia Week.

This year’s very important theme was Environment, Social & Governance (ESG), with a specific focus on the “E” for environmental.

Nexia Christchurch challenged staff to embrace a more environmentally conscious approach to their daily commute. Undeterred by the cold, members of the team biked, walked, jogged and carpooled their way to work.

Nexia Auckland organised a “swap meet,” exchanging items they no longer want or need to help reduce waste, with whatever wasn’t claimed donated to a local Op Shop that one of the team volunteers at. They also participated in an environmental-themed quiz highlighting clients’ positive eco-impact.
