|Another successful Export Breakfast this morning run by CECC & Export NZ, with a theme of “Exporters driving transformational change”.
The speakers were impressive with the NZ Merino team of Caroline Nicol and Anna Johnstone talking about their journey supporting New Zealand Merino farmers through Value Add, Innovation & Partnerships.
Greg Jarvis from Bluelab also spoke, they provide New Zealand designed and manufactured equipment for the global hydroponics industry. Greg talked about how they have transitioned to from a product-centric business to one that is more customer and serviced focused. Greg also touched on the successful partnership between Bluelab & Lincoln Agritech that enabled the commercialisation of their handheld meter, specifically designed for use in the hydroponics and horticultural industries which measures moisture levels, soil conductivity (which correlates to nutrient levels) and temperature.
The event location was the impressive new Novotel Christchurch Airport; the 6th-floor venue has got to have the most remarkable view of Christchurch and the Canterbury plains.
